After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematical Sciences Paul entered the insurance industry in 1993 working with Direct Line Insurance and later General Accident Insurance, before entering Loss Adjusting in Hong Kong with an International Loss Adjusting firm as Manager of their Hong Kong operation. Whilst he was based in Hong Kong, Paul was responsible for claims in Hong Kong, Macau, China, and dealt with losses from the 1995 Kobe and Sakhalin Island earthquakes.

In 1997, he returned to the UK briefly joining another International Loss Adjusting firm, where during his time in the UK, Paul undertook various claim assignments worldwide, including in 1998, being assigned as Team Leader dealing with an oil spill in Nigeria.  Later that year, Paul joined their office in Thailand as Technical Director. In addition to his role in Thailand, Paul was also heavily involved in handling the claims assignments received outside Thailand, specifically Bangladesh, Cambodia, Japan, Laos, Solomon Islands and Vietnam.

When hurricane Floyd caused destruction to the Caribbean in 1999, Paul assisted dealing with various losses in Antigua and in the Bahamas.

In 2000 Paul was dealing with various losses in Vietnam and in 2001 he successfully managed to establish the first International Loss Adjusting firm to open an office in Hanoi and later Ho Chi Minh City, where later in 2001 he was appointed General Director/Managing Director of the new venture in Vietnam.

In 2005 he became Regional Director of Construction, Power and Engineering in Asia Pacific whilst dealing with several high-profile losses in Vietnam and Cambodia as well as managing the operation in Vietnam.

In late 2008 he returned to Thailand and in early 2009 he had been allocated additional responsibilities on top of those he previously had, specifically Managing Director of the Thailand operation and General Manager of Indochina, and at that stage restructured the operation in Thailand, where additional staff were recruited to deal with the increase in claim assignments. The operation was recognised as the No.1 Loss Adjusting firm in Thailand with having the highest revenue when compared to the competitors.

Paul led and managed response to the devastating flooding that affected Thailand.

Paul has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematical Sciences, a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters (FCLA), a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance (ANZIIF (Fellow)), holds a Diploma in Loss Adjusting, a Diploma in Insurance and Risk Management, Certified Insurance Professional (CIP), a member of the Institute of Civil Engineers (GMICE) and a member of the Energy Institute (MEI), a Specialist of the Institute of Risk Management (SIRM).
